내부와 외부의 경계를 탐구하다
이 프로젝트는 내부와 외부의 관계를 시각적·공간적으로 재구성하며 건축적 경계를 탐구한다. 경계를 단순한 구분선이 아닌, 개방과 폐쇄의 정도에 따라 변화하는 상태로 바라보며, 이러한 차이가 사용자의 인식과 움직임, 그리고 안정감에 미치는 영향을 실험한다.

파빌리온은 반복되는 모듈을 원형으로 배열하여 구성되며, 각 모듈의 방향과 형태를 조정함으로써 시야를 선택적으로 제어한다. 외부에서는 내부가 제한적으로 보이는 반면, 내부에서는 외부로의 시야가 확장되어 사용자에게 시각적 우위와 심리적 안정감을 제공한다.

보행로와 자연 경관 사이에 위치한 이 공간은 앉아서 쉬고 풍경을 바라볼 수 있는 쉼의 장소로 작동하며, 주변 환경과의 관계를 새롭게 설정한다. 이러한 경계의 조절을 통해, 단순한 파빌리온을 감각과 인식을 조율하는 건축적 장치로 확장한다. 

Exploring the Threshold Between Inside and Outside

This project investigates architectural boundaries by examining how the relationship between inside and outside can be redefined through spatial and visual control. Rather than treating boundaries as fixed lines, the design explores how degrees of openness and enclosure influence perception, movement, and comfort.

The pavilion is composed of repetitive modular elements arranged in a circular configuration. These modules are carefully adjusted in orientation and form to selectively filter views—limiting visibility from the outside while expanding outward views from within. This creates a condition where occupants experience a sense of visual dominance and psychological stability.

Located between a pedestrian path and a natural landscape, the project responds to its context by reorienting the direction of rest and observation. The pavilion offers a place where users can sit, pause, and engage with the surrounding environment, while maintaining a controlled sense of separation. Through this layered boundary condition, the project redefines a simple shelter as a spatial device for perception and rest.
