공공성과 사적 영역의 균형
이 프로젝트는 공공성과 사적 영역 사이의 관계를 ‘연결과 분리’라는 개념을 통해 탐구한다. 공간을 단순히 구분하는 것이 아니라, 다양한 개방성과 프라이버시의 층위를 형성하여 서로 공존하는 구조를 제안한다.

구부림(Bend)과 추출(Extract)이라는 조형적 연산을 통해 매스를 변형하고, 내부와 외부를 연결하는 중간 공간을 만들어낸다. 저층부에는 커뮤니티 키친을 배치하여 이웃과의 교류를 유도하고, 상층부에는 보다 사적인 주거 공간을 구성하였다. 이러한 점진적 전이는 공동체성과 개인의 영역 사이의 균형을 형성한다.

Balancing Public and Private

This project explores the relationship between connection and separation through the spatial organization of public and private programs. Rather than strictly dividing spaces, the design proposes a layered system where different degrees of openness and privacy coexist.

Based on architectural operations such as bending and extracting mass, the building generates new intermediate spaces that act as connectors between interior and exterior. The lower level accommodates a community kitchen, encouraging interaction among residents and neighbors, while upper levels provide more private living spaces. Through this gradual transition, the project creates a dynamic balance between collective life and individual privacy.
