소리와 흐름으로 형성되는 공간
이 프로젝트는 도시 환경 속에서 소리를 형성하고 증폭하는 매개로서 건축을 탐구한다. 소격동 대지에 위치하며, 음악 프로듀서를 위한 주거와 작업 공간을 결합하여 녹음실, 음향 실험 공간, 생활 공간이 하나의 건축 시스템 안에서 통합되도록 계획되었다.

건물은 트위스트(twist)와 임베드(embed)라는 조형적 연산을 통해 형태를 형성하며, 동선, 빛, 소리와 같은 물리적·비물리적 흐름을 동시에 만들어낸다. 외피는 비틀림을 통해 외부 소음을 조절하고 내부 음향을 조형하며, 내부의 보이드 공간은 채광과 환기, 공간적 연결을 유도한다. 녹음실, 음향 실험실, 주거 공간은 이러한 구조를 중심으로 배치되어 소리가 공간 속에서 공명하고 확산되도록 한다.

이 프로젝트는 소리를 단순한 부수적 요소가 아닌 형태를 생성하는 주요 요소로 다루며, 비가시적인 감각을 건축적 언어로 번역하여 물질과 감각이 만나는 공간을 제안한다.

Shaping Space Through Sound and Movement

This project explores architecture as a medium for shaping and amplifying sound within an urban environment. Located in Sogyeok-dong, the design integrates residential and creative spaces for a music producer, combining living, recording, and experimental sound environments into a single spatial system.

Through formal operations such as twisting and embedding, the building generates both physical and intangible flows—including circulation, light, and sound. The surrounding envelope is twisted to modulate acoustics and control external noise, while embedded voids introduce light, ventilation, and spatial continuity. Interior programs such as recording studios, acoustic labs, and living spaces are organized around these transformations, allowing sound to resonate, diffuse, and project throughout the building.

Rather than treating sound as a secondary element, the project positions it as a primary generator of form. By translating acoustic performance into architectural language, the building becomes a dynamic interface between material space and invisible phenomena.
