생태를 탐사하는 이동형 연구기지
T.E.R.R.A는 브라질 아마존 열대우림을 대상으로, 생태계의 장기적인 관찰과 연구를 위한 이동형 연구기지를 제안한다. 연구기지는 기존 철도망을 따라 이동하며 다양한 생태 환경에 대응하고, 필요에 따라 정차하여 연구 시설을 확장하는 유연한 시스템으로 계획되었다. 이를 통해 인간의 물리적 개입을 최소화하면서 자연환경을 지속적으로 기록하고 관찰하는 새로운 연구 방식을 제시한다.
접이식 벽체와 개폐형 창, 태양광 패널, 빗물 수집 시스템 등 자립형 설비를 통합하여 장기간 독립적인 운영이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 이동성과 지속가능성을 결합한 건축 시스템은 연구와 생활, 생태 보전을 하나의 플랫폼으로 연결하며, 자연과 공존하는 새로운 연구 인프라를 제안한다.
Mobile Infrastructure for Ecological Research
T.E.R.R.A is a mobile ecological research station designed for long-term environmental observation in the Amazon rainforest. Traveling along existing railway lines, the station can stop at different locations to expand its research capacity while minimizing human impact on fragile ecosystems. The project establishes a flexible platform for continuous ecological monitoring and field research.
Self-sufficient systems—including operable walls, solar panels, rainwater collection, and independent utilities—support extended operation in remote environments. Combining mobility, sustainability, and scientific research, the proposal presents a new architectural model for ecological exploration.
