집합을 통해 형성되는 건축
본 프로젝트는 단위 모듈의 반복과 집합을 통해 공간과 구조를 형성하는 건축적 가능성을 탐구한다. 프로젝트 1에서는 한양대학교 ERICA 캠퍼스 제2공학관 뒤편의 언덕과 숲을 대상으로, 종이 모듈의 증식을 통해 지형 사이에 새로운 휴식 공간과 이동의 경계를 형성하였다. 프로젝트 2에서는 수직 모듈을 해안 절벽에 적용하여 지형과 건축이 유기적으로 연결되는 전망 공간을 제안하였다. 서로 다른 환경을 대상으로 하지만, 두 프로젝트 모두 단순한 요소의 집합을 통해 복합적인 공간 경험을 만들어내는 생성 원리를 공유한다.

모듈은 구조와 공간을 동시에 형성하는 기본 단위로 작동하며, 밀도와 방향, 높이의 변화는 빛과 그림자, 시선과 동선을 조절한다. 이를 통해 건축은 고정된 형태가 아니라 환경과 상호작용하며 성장하는 적응형 구축 시스템으로 발전한다.


Architecture Through Aggregation

This project investigates how repeated modules can generate architectural form through aggregation. Project 1 is situated on the wooded hillside behind Engineering Building 2 at Hanyang University ERICA, where folded paper modules create new spaces for rest and movement within the existing terrain. Project 2 applies vertical modular elements to a coastal cliff, forming an observation pavilion integrated with the landscape. Although developed in different contexts, both projects share a common strategy of producing complex spatial experiences from simple repeated units.

The modules function as both structural and spatial elements. Variations in density, orientation, and height shape light, circulation, and views, allowing architecture to evolve as an adaptive system that responds to its environment.
